Joeri Saly
 As the managing director of House of Yachts, I’m responsible for the daily operations at our firm.
I’ve been a very devoted and enthusiastic participant in the water sports industry for years now.
When I was in high school, I spent all my spare time – weekends and holidays – working for a yacht broker. After a number of very instructive years in the service business, it was clear to me that this was a field I was truly passionate about. This was a tremendous opportunity for me to turn my hobby into my profession!
I finished my training as a “Recreational-Craft Yacht Broker” and then became a sworn and certified yacht broker and appraiser. After about ten years in the water sports industry, greatly enriched by my many experiences, I started House of Yachts. At House of Yachts we work with a young, fresh, and dynamic team. Our mission is to work with and for people that, like me, share a passion for water sports and have made them into a central part of their lives. I can’t imagine a more beautiful challenge.
Like many others, I started out on an Optimist, but soon became a crewmember on board many racing yachts. Currently, I’m part of the X35 team “Drs. X” with whom we won the 2007 world championship in Kiel in Germany. We’ll be defending our title in Italy in summer 2008.
